I've had a few ups and downs in the past few months. I started to follow the Dukan diet, and honestly, that really does work to take the sugar cravings away. I lost about 5 + kilos in a few short weeks. Then we went on a little vacation to Melbourne
and I "treated" myself to anything I couldn't have on the diet. Mainly sugars and bad carbs... since then I have tried to start the diet on and off without truly committing to it as I did when I first embarked on this new challenge.
well, I'm back at it again... This time, I've armed myself with the help of Marksdailyapple.com (I have his book on primal living and his cook book) Dr. Cate Shanaha's Deep nutrition boon (I also joined the Spakpeople group for her program called T.R.I.M>) and I have Gary Gaube's book Why we get fat (which I'm still reading). There two things that all these diets (even the great Dr. Atkins, which I am also following) have in common: 1) greatly minimizing carbs 2) eliminating sugar. Two of the most difficult things to do, especially when there is an addiction involved. But I know I can do it and I Must do it.
Ok. Let's see how this goes and I pray this time is the last time I fall so low into the vicious cycle.
